I think we should trust him because of Maddison's father's introduction/endorsement of the guy.
"this is a good friend of mine"
"he's a very sharp guy - we go way back"

This establishes that George has been a part of the community for a while and a trusted friend of MA's Dad and it isn't likely that he is somehow involved with Abby or Thomas. It is also pretty common for retired police officers to become private detectives. His public service record with the police department would also be easy to find and would help verify that he is a character to be trusted. Also, this introduces someone who probably knew Maddision's mother and might be willing to answer more questions about her than Maddision's Dad.

I'd also like to learn more about the "GPS" that they attached to one of those birds. When did they release that bird? How are they tracking it? If they are tracking it why aren't they sharing the location information with us?; ▶ Reply to This
