Maddison Atkins

Okay.. Q and acid get props, as well as others who suggested this:

I cut out a small piece of the letter and soaked it for about 5 minutes in alcohol. I was able to see the word "BEEN". (So there are TWO puns in the title... haha)

Here's the full-size link:

Also, apologies for the blurriness. My eyes have been giving me trouble recently.

Anyways, I'm going to try the whole letter now. I'll let you know ASAP what happens.

I really just don't see how her finding Abby or Thomas will lead to anything good for her...due to the nature of Abby's work...regardless of if she wants to do it or not...and Thomas seems to have security with him at all times...makes you wonder how he even mails a single post card. Makes me think that these security people know what Thomas is sending at all times.

i think after maddisons reactions to the letter that she doesnt want to be near abby or thomas either

I know I wouldn't want to be...even more so after reading what she just read...it would make me even less likley to send off anther pigeon now...I know we need more information from Abby...but I think we should wait to see what's under the other letters first...and what we get back from her and Thomas before we do anything else with the birds....hopefully Adam can help us keep Maddison safe for right now

i had a thought. do you think because your letter was wet when you received it due to the awful rain here in NY that it helped get some of the marker off and that is why the others are having trouble removing theirs or could it just be that theirs has an ungodly amount of ink on it?

Brooklyn rain? I'm surprised there is any paper left. ;)

It's possible, but I think it was damp from the moisture of the dirt more than rain falling on it. But I don't know chemistry so well. ;-) Maybe it doesn't matter how wet it was, even a little dampness would help? *shrugs*

Doesn't seem too likely to me. I wouldn't be surprised if the other letters weren't constructed such that the blacked out parts could be removed via alcohol (as there wasn't any clues on them that would suggest that it could).
