Good news everybody! I have talked to Patrick and we are a GO for the drop. Our runner will be a girl named Jenn, she has a camera and knows the area! Patrick has confirmed with her and she is excited to help us out! Patrick will be the handler during the drop and I will be the anchor. I do have some bad news though, unfortunately due to weather conditions today the pickup wont be able to happen until tomorrow morning, the tentative time as of right now is about 8 am pacific. We need to work on narrowing down the drop area, from what I understand union road 507 is a big area. Jenn has been instructed to photograph the area, the drop site and the drop itself before and after moving anything. When she picks up the drop she will take it to a safe location and photograph the item from all angles before opening as well as giving a description to Patrick as it happens. After the item has been opened she will send either Patrick or I any info gained from the item as well as photo documentation. We can decide then what we would like her to do with said item. That is all the info I have for now so lets get to work on trying to narrow down that location a bit!

Amergin made a good point about how the phrases break up, I set it up this way, I think we may gain something different from the words now that we know which words go together

Sounds like a good plan. I think she should start by just following the road around and (assuming it's a digital camera, so lots of photos is no problem), photographing anything permanent and manmade such as signs, walls, or structures, paying special attention to any public buildings or structures. It would be very nice if she could mark her approximate location on a map printout for each picture, so we can match them up later.

There was also a link to a pdf earlier on this thread with restroom locations for the park that might be helpful.

On the google view, of the area, there appears to be some kind of small building or structure out near the end of the peninsula - just a little way in from the end - seems as likely a place to look as any.

Be sure she is focusing on the Union 507 part (as shown on the google map) and not the entire Standing Bear Lake area, which is quite large.

Who knows? It could be something to do with a light socket or something crazy like a rocket logo that identifies the clue... although, looking at the google map, that loop formed by the 507 does look like a big pocket, lol.

Drop has been found in an outhouse, somewhere high up. It's a white enveloppe with the name THOMAS on it.

Inside is a message on white lined paper.

it says (as typed by Kira in IRC):

BROUGHT THEM BACK, I RELEASED THEM INTO THEIR HOME, AND THEY DO SEEM BETTER NOW. TIME WILL TELL IF THEY ARE (crossed out letter here may have been an S right before the next word)

Hmmm.... brought "them" back-

Are "them" the pigeons....or, are "them" Maddison and Adam themselves... brought back from.... v1?

"vet's treatment" makes me worried about that bandage....

does this give us enough info to send a message to Abby via pigeon? Is there some cipher within the message regarding address?
