Maddison Atkins

I recorded this voice over for the video, but the music says it better than me.

But... here's what I was gonna say.

Hi. It's me. Sittin around. Doin nothing. Bored.
Everything is in a mild state of Limbo. In-between semesters, Maddison is sick, Emily is sick too, so to speak. with me.

I'm constantly in trouble at work for spending too much time on school and not enough time on work.

No word from whomever the pigeon people are. No idea what that is even about.

Kids in danger. Pigeons in coop. Maddison's spine.

Mystery abounds. Betwixt and between in everything.

Even my grades. .. up in the air. Well .. grade.. made an A in Video Basics, but I have an I in New Media.. an I! When I read that on MySFA, I was like whah? Apparently it wasnt a typo, Apparently I stands for incomplete.

Touché Life! Touché

I guess video blogs were only a small part of my grade.
I think my prof is throwing me a bone...or vicariously living through me. Choose your own adventure there

He is trying to get Maddison and me to do an independent study next summer session, which starts Monday mind you, to continue this online journey we are on, He says he'll give me an A in New Media if I show more effort with my other online social media accounts next session.

It's like an extension on a paper... or a ball for my chain.. Sucks. ..

Maddison got an A

No more YouTube Rage Posting. I took that little fight video down to..uh..perhaps bring some peace into my life again. At least try to

So.. here I am drinking a big can of Limbo. Sort of refreshing, but not so much at the same time. My thirst is kinda quenched, but Im still thirsty... for what? I dunno.

Probably for more limbo. Yum.

Just a couple of quick things I thought...

a) Whiskey is absolutely the shit, and I want one for my own.

b) That white line on the ground looks like the I or Y on the back of the Omaha drop letter in "spine"

c) Maddison is sick, and didn't answer the door... is anyone at all concerned about this?

Certainly not an in-depth analysis but... come on folks, it should be just starting to get good now, don't fade out!

It might be a layer overlay on the video, but it looks more like sunlight glare on the lens to me, from shooting towards the sun. If you look at the angle of the shadows and of the glare, they look consistent. It could also be a smudge of some kind on the lens, but that seems less likely to me. It does resemble erasure in photoshop but unless we get more such marks and can put them together, I'm assuming this is just a shooting/glare artifact.

Perhaps interesting is that this video brings us back to the Fredonia patio once again. Should we be looking for clues there somehow?

Also surprising is that Jeromy Barber, singing and playing the guitar, appears to have been transformed into a black man.

Here is the symbol in the grass perky was referring to. It does not seem to be sunlight. Resembles the I or Y in "SPINE" from the first letter.

Here is are the locations seen in the video marked on a Google map.

You can click on each of the four pins to see the "Street views" that match the scenes in the video:
A: Look toward the west from just west of Adam's work, 12th Street House aka East Texas Video (as seen on the business card on the desk near the end).
B: Maddison's House (no mailbox in the Google map image)
C: Look toward the west to see the exit from the Fredonia patio/pool area where Adam put on his shoes.
D: Look toward the east to see the big tree and the building where Adam was playing with Whiskey. this is 12th Street House aka East Texas Video. It's an establishing shot for the following office shot.

Note that google map addresses are approximate (i.e. street addresses are wrong), but I marked the actual locations rather than the correct addresses for these locations.

The correct addresses are:

http://www.12thstreethouse.com
http://www.easttexasvideo.com
507 E. Hostpital St., Suite 106B, Nacogdoches TX

Maddison's House
134 N. Church St., Nacogdoches TX (according to the 2nd postcard image)

http://www.hotelfredonia.com
200 N. Church St., Nacogdoches TX

I agree -- It looks like a glare on the lens from the camera facing the sun. It can't be on the ground itself (whether object or shadow) because it doesn't change when Whiskey's shadow crosses over it. In the very last instance of the clip, Whiskey's ear also crosses into the image itself. It has to be in the film, either by intetion or by-product. Seems most likely to be a glare, We can always ask Adam though -- he filmed it.

We were given the address (OOG) for a reason. Especially since they made a big deal out of it in the video... that has to be significant.

I disagree with that, I think OOG it was an accident, but since it was too late to correct the mistake they made it an ingame accident.

Whether the exact addresses are important or not, there are a few videos that seem to plot a trail of locations through Nacogdoches. These could be considered just a collection of scenes with locations like any film has, but they could also be meant to get us thinking about the physical relationship of the places shown.

In this video we see Adam walk from his workplace, East Texas Video (which in-game, I'm not sure we knew the location of prior to this), visit Maddison's house which is right around the corner, visit Maddison's workplace (the Fredonia), just up the street, and then return to his own workplace, possibly stopping off at his own place (not shown) to pick up Whiskey, his dog (Whiskey might also have been waiting at East Texas Video).

All this action shows us that Adam is alone obviously, and that Maddison does not appear to be either at her home or her work (and she wouldn't be likely to be at school after finals), so where is Maddison now? Perhaps at her dad's or in the hospital?

It's not clear whether Maddison asked Adam to check on the pigeons, but he appears to be looking for Maddison the way he looks in at the front door. He also appears to sit close to where he and Maddison made their first video on the patio at the Fredonia. There is a waitress who comes into the shot that looks a bit like Maddison, but it is not her.

But showing these locations and the physical relation to each other also tends to give the story a certain reality, located in the real world in a specific place. That could just be a creative choice of the production, but it might also help us solve some mystery at some point. For instance, this tells us that Adam could easily walk to Maddison's house in the middle of the workday for some reason. Maddison probably walked from home to East Texas Video after receiving the L.A. postcard.

In a similar way, the very first video showed Adam driving Maddison home by turning and heading north on Church St. (which is a one way street), helping to show us the house's location and it's proximity to the Fredonia.

There coulud be a physical aspect to some puzzle we need to solve.
