Just an idea - maybe this isn't a full "reboot" - maybe MA1 ended with Maddison and Adam being incapacitated (but not actually killed) by Mr. Zipp. Maddison would have then been taken to the clinic, where her CSF was drained over a period of some time, and the memory suppressant administered. (Presumably, Adam was also memory-wiped, but released soon after). Flash forward a year or two later - Maddison has escaped or been released, and is contacted by Abby, who met her during her initial stay in the clinic.

It might be a stretch, but I have a feeling that "Zipp Enterprises" has IG significance, and isn't just an OOG wink.

Also probably a stretch, but maybe it's not just a coincidence that Maddison appears much slimmer now than she did ~2 years ago. They did say that the girls in the clinic had lost weight...

Anyway, just throwing that out there. I haven't thought it through a whole lot yet, but maybe it will at least be food for some discussion. If we do think that it has relevance, maybe we should ask Maddison whether there's any period of time in the past where her memory is missing or fuzzy...

I don't want anybody confused about whether this is a full reboot or partial...

It is a full reboot. There are definite themes and ideas used from the former story, but this story is it's own thing. Maddison 1.0 has no bearing on Maddison 2.0

After reviewing the video again, I think I may have an idea of where things may be at.

In the video, Abby talks about her and Thomas practicing different puzzles to get them into their muscle memory, for the ultimate purpose of being able to create and decode them while in the sedated state. Well, the puzzle that Abby created with the music notes on the Tucson letter had a bunch of mistakes in it (Assuming we haven't missed something huge). What if Abby was sedated while creating that letter? That would explain the mistakes in the puzzle perfectly.

So if this is true then it might be possible that Abby is still under the effects of the sedative. Perhaps she awoke from the sedative but then was put back under them, or she never awoke from them at all. If the police that met with Abby were working with Zipp labs, then they could continue to administer the sedatives.

I think we need to have Maddison figure out what happened with Abby. Try to get a hold of her, and if she finds her, look into obtaining some of that drug that counteracts the sedatives, and try to wake Abby up. We need to find Thomas and make sure he's okay. Abby will probably be the best person to help with that.
