In chat today, Maddison said she thought the stray dots and marks were just bleed-through from a the marker used to write the letter ... so that's one less code to worry about!
This should begin in about 10 minutes (Adam and Maddison chat)
Adam mentioned last night in chat that he thought once they saw them, the police might ask them to remove some of the videos from YouTube.

I think it is going to be difficult to make progress on decoding the dots in the letter page images without higher resolution scans, so I asked Adam on Facebook to provide them if possible.

The stray dots might be braille.
I added enhanced versions of the four letter page images posted by Adam on facebook to a photoalbum here:

There are small light and dark dots or stray marks all over this letter, just a few on page 1, but definitely on pages 2 to 4. They appear as a single dot on the line, or a dot above the line, or a pair of dots one above the other like a colon.
I think it's a fair question PJ is asking, "Should we be worried?"
My guess is that there is some sort of conclusion in the works, and it has simply been delayed, but it's odd that Maddison and Adam have not been in contact at all meanwhile.

Patrick said… - I think the efficiency of that drop has more to do with the fact we had a three person team rather than a two person..splitting up the responsibilities more. Runner, oner person talking to the runner and an anchor (I called it handler), and one anchor that gathers information from the group, filters it, and gives it to handler to direct runner.
